Casino software group Playtech is headed to Michigan as they’ll be building and deploying a live dealer casino game studio in the city of Southfield.

The new studio will be built with the intention of live broadcasting casino games to casinos in the United States. Among these games will be blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and several other titles that are typically webcast. Live dealer games are just starting to be offered in the US market, which is seeing more states working to legalize and regulate iGaming. Live dealer games are particularly interesting, as they provide as close an experience as you’ll get to a land casino at home. This is particularly relevant, as many land casinos have had to close or restrict visitors due to the pandemic.

Southfield is a suburb that borders Detroit. It is a key hub for multiple businesses in the state of Michigan, including banking, casino gaming, auto manufacturing, and more.

Commenting on the launch Playtech COO Shimon Akad said, โ€œThe new studio in Michigan is the first step in our US live expansion as we look to deliver live studios in all regulated states. Our Michigan studio is being designed to be one of the more sophisticated studios tailored to the US market featuring innovation and entertainment at its best. The scale of our technology and breadth of our product will allow Playtech to take the live iGaming experience in the US to the next level.โ€

โ€œAt Playtech, we pride ourselves in being a key member of all our communities and we are thrilled to be bringing employment opportunities to local communities as part of our expansion in the US.

โ€œWith the effects of the global pandemic still felt in markets across the globe it is more important than ever we support our local industries and communities.โ€
