A good blackjack decision can still lose. Here’s how to practise the decision, rather than chase the result. Open the free practice table at OnlineBlackjack dot com. Choose Quick solo play, leave Coach tips on, and select Deal. You’re using practice chips with no cash value. There’s no account or deposit required. Check Table rules before you follow a recommendation. This table uses six decks, and the dealer hits soft seventeen. Look at your total and the dealer’s face-up card. Decide what you’d do, then compare it with the coach’s recommendation. Select an available action and read the feedback. Decision accuracy measures supported playing choices, not whether you won the hand. Some specialist decisions aren’t graded. Use your practice progress to spot mistakes, then try Test without coach tips when you’re ready. Start with one careful decision at a time. Practice results don’t predict real-money results.

How to play the free blackjack game

  1. Choose Quick solo play and select Deal. Each initial hand uses one practice chip. Use the actions available for your hand; solo play includes splitting.
  2. Turn Coach tips on or off. Complete 20 rounds to save a session and replay your own mistakes. You can return between hands using this browser.
  3. For the shared game, open Multiplayer table, choose a character if asked, select practice chips and confirm. Wait for your turn. This existing table has no Split control.
  4. Open Counting drills to reveal cards and check running and true counts. The drill explains its truncation rule. Solo rounds shuffle a new shoe and are not counting practice.
  5. Use All practice history to review local progress. Sharing is optional and includes no bankroll, name or mistake history.

Check the table rules

During our check, the trainer displayed six decks, blackjack paying 3:2 and dealer hits soft 17 (H17). Check the rules shown inside the game before each session, and see the blackjack rules page if any term is new to you. The shared table and Counting drills show shoe information; Quick solo play reshuffles for each round.

H17 decisions differ from stand-on-soft-17 games. Our basic strategy guide explains how to read charts and clearly labels its S17 tables. For H17-specific decisions, use the appropriate chart from the Wizard of Odds multi-deck strategy guide.

Practise basic strategy and card counting separately

Start with accurate playing decisions. Once you are comfortable, open Counting drills or use the shared table’s continuous shoe to practise following the Hi-Lo running and true counts. Quick solo play reshuffles each round. Our Hi-Lo guide and card counting introduction explain the distinction. A shoe-based trainer does not imply that counting works in RNG casino games that reshuffle every hand.

Why play free blackjack?

  • Learn the game. New to blackjack? Read how to play blackjack, then try a few hands here with nothing at stake.
  • Practise basic strategy. Keep our strategy chart open until the decisions come without thinking. Remember this table is H17.
  • Try card counting. Use Counting drills or the shared table’s continuous shoe to check your running count. Quick solo play is not a counting drill.
  • Just play for fun. No deposit, no account and no time limit.

Free play can help you learn the rules used in real-money blackjack, but table configurations differ and practice wins say nothing about future results. If you later play for money, check the payout (3:2, not 6:5), set a budget and only play where it is legal for you.

Free blackjack FAQ

Is this blackjack game really free?

Yes. You play with practice chips, and there is nothing to buy or deposit.

Do I need to download anything or sign up?

No. The game runs in your web browser, and you can start playing straight away.

Can I win real money?

No. Practice chips have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn. For real-money tables, see our real-money blackjack guide.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The table fits a phone screen, and the buttons sit underneath it. You can also see our mobile blackjack page.

Is it good practice for a casino?

Use Quick solo play for decisions, and Counting drills or the shared table’s continuous shoe for counting practice. Match your practice to the rules of the table you intend to play.

You can also explore free Blackjack Switch or our mobile blackjack page. The Switch page uses its own variation rules. The mobile page embeds the shared multiplayer table; its controls differ from solo play.

Which games have public leaderboards?

The 26 variation games offer optional public nickname rankings for completed normal 20-round sessions. Seeded challenges are excluded. The Practice Table’s result cards are self-reported shares, not entries in those rankings. Only supported decisions count toward displayed accuracy.
