The Wizard of Odds Analyzes ‘Honey Bonus’ Side Bet

Online Blackjack sister site Wizard of Odds has had its resident gaming expert Mike Shackleford analyze the ‘Honey Bonus’ blackjack side bet, where he gives readers the skinny on the game and the odds.

The Wizard found the side bet offered by developer BetConstruct, and finds that the live dealer style game has a house edge of between 13.5% and 15% depending on the number of decks used for the game.

The bet sees players buying in and taking the results of their two dealt cards and the dealer up card. Payouts are done if players land the following combinations:

Three of a Kind- Pays 20:1
Straight- Pays 10:1
Flush- Pays 5:1
Suited Blackjack in Player’s Two Cards- Pays 3:1

The game is available at casinos that offer BetConstruct’s live dealer games.
