Online betting group Genesis Gaming has announced that they’ve launched an online version of Zombie Blackjack, which originally was a table game making the rounds at land casinos.

Zombie Blackjack is a variant game that was created by Geoff Hall and is owned by Scientific Games. Genesis purchased the licensing rights to the game for online play, and they are now offering it to their casino operating partners. The game uses the following rules for players:

– Six Decks
– Dealer hits soft 17
– Dealer peeks
– Double on any hand, except after splitting Aces
– Double after split
– Push if dealer gets 22 and player doesn’t bust
– Blackjack pays 3:2
– Players get even money if they bust and dealer has a 7 to Ace up and proceeds to bust themselves

The design of the game gives the house an edge of 1.03%.

The game was initially launched in 2017 at The Venetian in Las Vegas. Our sister site Wizard of Odds has a full write-up on the game, complete with strategy.

Commenting on the game’s launch Geoff Hall said, โ€œGenesisโ€™ interpretation of Zombie Blackjack game-play is spot on. Particularly, the gameโ€™s digital visual and audio effects add a thrill and excitement dimension that we simply cannot do in the land-based version of the game.”

The game is available for play now at casinos offering Genesis Gaming’s casino library.
