Carnival Cruise Lines will be getting access to online blackjack and other games, as well as sportsbetting services thanks to a partnership deal that the company signed with BetMGM last month.

The deal will see Carnival offering the online services on more than 50 different ships in the Carnival fleet that access the company’s US ports. Once those ships hit international waters the casino and sportsbook will be able to open, as do the traditional casinos found on the ships. There will be promotions worked into the betting products as well, allowing the two to cross-market the cruises and betting services to potential customers.

The implementation of the online casino will be done over the next several months.

Commenting on the deal Carnival Senior VP of Global Casino Operations Marty Goldman said, “We’re very proud to be able to deliver the excitement and engagement of sports betting and igaming to our guests through our partnership with BetMGM.

“Our two leading global hospitality organisations will provide a wide array of immersive digital content as a complement to our exceptional shipboard casinos.”

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt added: “We’ve found an ideal partner in Carnival Corporation and look forward to providing our sports betting and igaming products to its millions of passengers.”
