Betting group Bally’s has announced that they’re going to begin building a mini-casino in the state of Pennsylvania next year, bringing upwards of 30 gaming tables that can include blackjack, as well as other games.

The company is working with investor Ira Lubert to build the $120 million facility, which will also feature slot machines. The casino is slated to be built somewhat near Penn State University, and will be a smaller gaming facility than a standard land casino. There will be a maximum of 30 tables and 750 slot machines located in the facility, as well as a retail sportsbook. Online operations will also be possible, allowing for licensees to offer games based on the company’s property.

The casino is expected to break ground in the first half of this year, but no opening date or exact location of the property was available. We can expect these details by the end of March, when paperwork for the project must be submitted to the state.

Commenting on the new project Bally’s President and CEO George Papanier said, โ€œExpanding our rapidly growing, national footprint into the attractive Pennsylvania gaming market represents yet another major milestone for Ballyโ€™s and a great way to cap off a truly extraordinary year.”

We’re following the development of this casino and will be updating Online Blackjack readers as we learn more.
