Vegas Single Deck Blackjack

Vegas Single Deck Blackjack online game

Vegas Single Deck Blackjack is an online blackjack game from Microgaming, whose casino games are now distributed by Games Global. It’s dealt from one deck and pays 3 to 2 on a blackjack. That’s the big difference from the real thing: according to the latest Wizard of Vegas blackjack survey, no casino in Las Vegas now offers a 3 to 2 single deck game. See our Las Vegas single deck page for what’s on offer there.

Vegas Single Deck Blackjack rules

  • One deck
  • Dealer hits soft 17
  • Blackjack pays 3 to 2
  • Double down on 9, 10 or 11 only
  • No doubling after splitting
  • Split up to two hands
  • One card on split aces
  • Bets from $2 to $200 (Gold Series: $5 to $200)

RTP and house edge

Despite the restrictions on doubling and splitting, the single deck keeps this game strong: our analysis puts the return to player at 99.69%, a house edge of about 0.31% with perfect basic strategy. That’s the best of the three Vegas games in the Microgaming range, ahead of Vegas Strip and Vegas Downtown Blackjack.

Strategy tips

Use a single deck basic strategy chart, adjusted for two rules. You can only double on 9, 10 or 11, so you can’t double soft hands: stand on soft 18 and soft 19 where the chart says double, and hit soft 13 to soft 17. You also can’t double after splitting, so split low pairs such as 2s, 3s, 4s and 6s less often than a standard chart suggests.

Where to play
